This poem had originally appeared in the pages of his brother's paper, who was constantly attacking the "cocoa press"...<br /><br />Given that GKC himself was at the time a columnist of the <i>Daily News</i> owned by George Cadbury (the chocolate and cocoa manufacture, i.e., as in the Cadbury eggs of today), you can imagine the effect of that. This latest attack was the one that led to GKC's separation from that paper after 11 years of writing for him.
